It is with deep respect and heartfelt gratitude that we announce the closure of Edgar J Racicot Inc. Funeral Home. For over a century, the Racicot Funeral Home has served our community. Since the late 1960's, The Cotnoir family has had the honor of managing and owning the funeral home which has allowed us the opportunity to serve families in their most difficult moments, providing compassionate care and dignified services.

I personally have worked at the Racicot Funeral Home since 1990, I’ve done my best to care for your families as I would my own. The time and attention I have unflinchingly given to your families has made me realize I wish to spend more time with my wife Lori, and our 6 children, and many grandchildren. An opportunity has recently presented itself that will allow me to retire, and I’ve chosen to act on it. This decision was not made lightly, and reflects a thoughtful transition after 36 years of dedicated service. I am profoundly grateful for the trust and loyalty you have placed in us over the years.

We understand that many families have entrusted us with pre-need arrangements, and we want to assure you that these plans remain secure and transferable. You may choose to transfer your arrangements to another trusted funeral home of your preference. We are committed to assisting you through this process and will provide help with necessary documentation and support to ensure a seamless transition.

Enclosed with this letter is a document that gives you the instructions to transfer your pre-need arrangements. If you have questions regarding your pre-need arrangements or need guidance in selecting a new provider, please do not hesitate to contact us. I remain available during this transition period to offer assistance and ensure your wishes are honored.
